GAZA, April 25 (UPI) -- Islamic Hamas Movement has warned on Monday any United States Congress attempt to pass a bill that recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Israel.
Hamas shouldered the U.S. full responsibility, if such a decision made, for the collapse of the Truce that several Palestinian militant groups, including Hamas had accepted.
Hamas spokesman, Mushir al-Masri, said in press statements that any American decision that recognizes Jerusalem as the united and eternal capital of Israel "would blow up the efforts to make the truce succeeding."
"The Americans always prove that they are the other face of the enemy by adopting biased stands, and on the other hand they are unfairly dealing with the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," said al-Masri.
He stressed that Jerusalem is the Palestinians' sacred city and the capital of the future Palestinian state, "and we will not accept less than this at any period of time or stage," he pointed out.
