Arrested Palestinians: no links to attacks

TEL AVIV, Israel, April 24 (UPI) -- Israel Army Radio denied Sunday the three Palestinians arrested in Tel Aviv had anything to do with "terror" plans.

It said after questioning the men, officials determined they were laborers in Israel without legal permits.

State-owned Israel Radio said earlier authorities arrested the men at dawn Sunday in eastern Tel Aviv on suspicion of planning to carry out an attack inside the Jewish state.

Israeli authorities Friday sealed off the West Bank for a week during Passover, barring the entry of Palestinians into Israel during that time.

But authorities have allowed the entry of 4,500 Palestinian workers and hundreds of merchants from the Gaza Strip during the Jewish holiday.
