Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist
GAZA, April 13 (UPI) -- The militant Hamas organization is criticizing U.S. President George W. Bush's attitude toward Israeli intentions to annex large West Bank settlements.
Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, charged, "Bush's utterances in the joint (Wednesday) press conference with Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon is a clear American recognition of the legality of settlements in the Palestinian areas."
He also said the American position accorded a political cover for Sharon's "expansionist policy" and endorsed his "unilateral disengagement plan."
The Hamas source accused the United States of maintaining a prejudice against "Palestinian people and their absolute rights."
