Macaulay Culkin may testify at trial

SANTA MARIA, Calif., March 29 (UPI) -- Macaulay Culkin may testify during the California molestation trial of Michael Jackson, ABC reported Tuesday.

The judge ruled Monday the jury may hear allegations that the pop star molested or had designs on five other boys, including Culkin, some 12 to 15 years ago that never resulted in criminal charges, ABC said.

Sources told ABC News Jackson's defense plans to call Culkin to refute the prosecution's claim. However, Culkin's representatives said he "is presently not involved with the proceedings, and we do not expect that to change."

Culkin told ABC News' Barbara Walters in a May 2001 interview that Jackson called him shortly after his film "Home Alone" and invited him and his family to the Neverland Ranch. He said he and the King of Pop formed a strong bond despite their 22-year age difference.

Jackson is on trial on molestation and other charges.
