BAGHDAD, March 25 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber has killed 11 Iraqi special forces and injured 10 other people, including two U.S. soldiers and three Iraqi civilians, east of Baghdad.

Security sources said the attack, which occurred Thursday night, targeted an Iraqi army roadblock outside the city of Ramadi.

Witnesses said the bomber, traveling at high speed, crashed his booby-trapped car into the roadblock, inflicting heavy casualties.

The Iraqi special forces have succeeded in recent days in capturing dozens of gunmen in the city of Mosul north of Iraq, and have dismantled armed groups responsible for rampant violence in Iraq.
