CARDIFF, Wales, March 18 (UPI) -- A Welsh teenager was sentenced to eight years behind bars for killing her boyfriend who admitted he had cheated on her.
Hayley Wallbank, 18, used a carving knife to kill her live-in boyfriend, Gareth Evans, 18, after he told her he had sex with another woman while she slept in the next room, icWales said Friday.
The jury convicted her of manslaughter and she received a six-year sentence behind bars and two years probation.
"You have done little to demonstrate what I consider is real and genuine regret," the Cardiff Crown judge told Wallbank. "I was left with a clear impression that you are a very self-centered and selfish young woman."
