JERSEY CITY, N.J., March 12 (UPI) -- Police said a woman's severed head and several body parts have been found in her Jersey City home, the New York Post reported Saturday.
The woman's husband turned himself in to police and was arrested after police found the head in a bowling ball bag and several body parts hidden behind walls. Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said the husband, who confessed to the crime during questioning, could be charged with murder over the weekend.
"It appears to be in the nature of a domestic situation," he said.
Prosecutors declined to disclose the names of the woman or her husband, pending positive identification of the severed body.
Neighbors said the husband and wife each had three kids from previous marriages and had lived in Jersey City for at least 15 years.
