Yemen to hand over Saudi terror suspects

SANAA, Yemen, March 3 (UPI) -- Yemen and Saudi Arabia are making arrangements to repatriate Saudi terror suspects detained by Yemeni authorities, reports said Thursday.

The Yemeni daily newspaper entitled 26 September quoted a security source as saying, "Sanaa will hand over to Riyadh 20 Saudi nationals wanted at home for criminal and terrorist reasons."

"The deportation is expected to take place in the coming few days," the source said.

The move falls within the framework of closer Saudi-Yemeni security cooperation agreements for combating terrorism.

Last month, Riyadh handed over to Yemen 19 of its nationals wanted at home for security breaches and involvement in terrorism.
