DENVER, March 3 (UPI) -- Rep. Mark Udall, D-Colo., announced Thursday that he will not run for Colorado governor next year.
Udall said he will run for re-election in 2006 and prepare for a U.S. Senate campaign in 2008, the Rocky Mountain News reported.

Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., has said he will not seek re-election again.
Earlier in the week, Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, a Republican, said she would not run for governor.
Gov. Bill Owens, a Republican, is term limited.
