MOSCOW, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- A senior Russian official complained Wednesday that Britain was ignoring evidence it had provided to extradite a Chechen terror suspect.

Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov said Russia has provided Britain with sufficient evidence to extradite Chechen separatist envoy Akhmed Zakayev, Interfax news agency reported.

"We brought a person to London who had his finger cut off by Zakayev himself. What other exhaustive evidence do you need to prove Zakayev's guilt?" Ustinov told a session of the Federation Council, the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, according to the Interfax report.

However, the witness's statements and a medical report supporting them were not enough for the London court, Ustinov said, according to the news agency report.
