GAZA, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Hamas leaders in Gaza said Sunday they will implement a cease-fire only if Israel ends military action in the Palestinian territories.
"We can't talk about calmness (cease-fire) without having a price. We can't accept a Hudna (truce) without occupiers' (Israelis) commitment to end all types of aggression against our people," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said.
He told UPI Hamas leaders held a second lengthy meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at his office in Gaza City to discuss a cease-fire.
