O.J. Simpson's daughter arrested in Miami

MIAMI, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- O.J. Simpson's 19-year-old daughter Sydney Brooke Simpson was arrested in Miami for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, the Miami Herald said Wednesday.

Police said they were summoned to a fight at a boy's varsity basketball game Saturday night at Ransom Everglades, a Coconut Grove private school.

Officer Daniel Rodriguez's incident report said: "A big crowd gathered with coaches trying to keep the peace," and Simpson "came at me screaming and yelling. She was asked to calm down several times and refused."

He also said Simpson slapped his right hand.

Two school students alleged Simpson struck them in a dispute of unknown origin, but both declined to press charges.

The daughter of the football player/actor and slain ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson attends college in Boston, but was released on her promise to appear in court.
