RAMALLAH, West Bank, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Mahmoud Abbas rejected Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's conditions for a meeting.

A source close to Abbas said if Sharon continues to demand a stop to "what Israel calls terrorism, then Abbas will demand that the Israeli prime minister start implementing the peace 'road map' and security coordination alone is not enough."

The source, who insisted on anonymity, was responding to Sharon's reported conditions for meeting Abbas, saying he will meet the PLO leader only to discuss security cooperation.
