ANN ARBOR, Mich., Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A 35-year-old woman was arrested in Ann Arbor, Mich., for allegedly biting her teenage son on the shoulder during a fight over a $20 bill.
Police said the 15-year-old sustained a large bite mark Monday but refused medical attention, the Ann Arbor News reported.
The son told police his mother grabbed the bill out of his friend's hand and ran downstairs with it. When he followed her and tried to get the money back, she punched and bit him, according to police reports. The friend told police he left after the incident and told the son not to worry about the cash.
Tests revealed the mother's blood-alcohol level was 0.27 percent, more than triple the legal driving limit. She could be charged with third-degree child abuse.
