OSAKA, Japan, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- A Japanese university student was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stabbing and killing his mother following an argument over his mobile phone bills.
The 19-year-old youth admitted to the allegations during questioning, the Mainichi Shimbun reported.

"I killed my mother because she had persistently complained to me that I spent too much money on mobile phones," he was quoted as telling investigators. "I had intended to kill her since last October."
After stabbing the woman, the student poured cooking oil around her body to make it look like an arson-murder, police said.
The boy's 21-year-old sister came home to find her mother dead in her room.
