KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- A boy walking on a Kansas City, Mo., shopping-mall roof has survived a 25 to 30 foot drop through a skylight, the Kansas City Star reported Sunday.

Police said the 11-year-old boy suffered several fractures to his head and face, lost at least one tooth, and broke his pelvis, arm, leg, and wrist. He was recovering at a Kansas City hospital Sunday.

The boy, out riding bikes with two friends, reportedly climbed onto the mall's roof and walked across one skylight safely. However, he crashed through a second skylight near the mall's entrance.

The mall was closed at the time.

Police said the boy was conscious when emergency workers arrived.
