LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Two suspects have been arrested in the theft of a laptop computer from Robert Blake's lawyer.
Los Angeles Police Commander Harland Ward told a news conference Tuesday the missing machine was recovered from a Van Nuys pawnshop after one of the suspects confessed to the theft.
The Dec. 1 break-in at an apartment used by the attorney representing Blake forced postponement to Dec. 20 of opening statements in the actor's murder trial because the laptop contained defense case data.
Due to speculation the theft had something to do with the trial, a special master was present when LAPD detectives recovered the computer.
Ward said they used a fingerprint to track suspects Koi Burton, 18, and Michael Washington, 19, who had no apparent ties with anyone involved in the Blake case.
