Saudi Arabia probes attack on US consulate

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Saudi Arabia issued a no-progress-yet report Sunday in its investigation into last week's attack on the U.S. consulate in Jeddah.

On Monday, nine people, including four attackers and five non-American employees, were killed when armed men stormed the U.S. consulate in the Red Sea port city.

Al-Qaida network, led by Saudi-born dissident Osama bin Laden, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
