Toronto doctor charged with 56 assaults

TORONTO, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- A Toronto doctor charged with three counts of sexual assault in November now faces more than 50 charges relating to his examinations of female patients.

Toronto police charged Bill Tai-pang Wong with 43 counts of sexual assault, nine counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual exploitation, the Globe and Mail reported Saturday.

Police asked patients who felt they had been assaulted by Wong to come forward when they charged him with three counts of sexual assault on Nov. 12. There were 53 responses to the call, bringing the total charges to 56.
