BRAMPTON, Ontario, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Police in Ontario are searching for a middle-aged suspect in the shooting of a female high school teacher at a school near near Toronto.
"It was a conflict between two adults. The students were never in any danger," Detective Stephen Rowe of Peel Region police told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

The Bramalea Secondary School in Brampton northwest of Toronto was locked down for several hours after the shooting, with doors locked, lights turned off and students lying on the floor.
The teacher, a woman in her 40s, was hospitalized.
Investigators say the suspect fled in a silver van.
