Argentina: Bomb blasts Citibank

BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- A small explosive device rattled a branch of Citibank Thursday in Santa Fe though no one was injured, police said.

Another package thought to contain a bomb was removed from another bank by the bomb squad. Authorities have not said if they have any suspects.

It is the second time in recent months that foreign banks - largely blamed for Argentina's December 2001 economic collapse and subsequent crisis years - were the target of bombers.

In November a series of bombings damaged three banks in the Argentine capital killing one security guard and injuring a member of the bomb squad.
