SAN DIEGO, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Police in Tijuana have located seven children, ages 4 months to 17 years, from the same family who were all allegedly kidnapped earlier this week.

The suspect in the abductions, Eduardo Aguilar, was also arrested in the border city Tuesday evening and Baja police said they were looking for other possible suspects.

San Diego police believe Aguilar kidnapped two young brothers on their way to school in the San Ysidro area on Monday, took them into Mexico and then later abducted the boys' 21-year-old sister and four other siblings in Tijuana later in the day.

Baja Attorney General Antonio Martinez Luna told The San Diego Union-Tribune that the alleged kidnappings appeared to be personal and may have involved a ransom demand. The elder sister had obtained a restraining order against Aguilar and had apparently been hiding out with relatives in Tijuana.
