Children mugged while sledding in Norway

OSLO, Norway, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Parents in Oslo, Norway, say their children are being terrorized on a popular sledding hill in the affluent Holmenkollen district.

Police said eight children were mugged during the past weekend and robbed of their sleds, Aftenposten reported Tuesday.

Sledding attracts hundreds of eager winter sports fans every year, but police said children started to be attacked last Tuesday.

The police are investigating the reports and have begun patrolling the popular sledding area. However, some parents are also beefing up their own efforts and not letting their children sled without them being present.
