WASHINGTON, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Kraft Foods Global, Inc. in Davenport, Iowa, is voluntarily recalling 15,810 packages of Oscar Mayer Lunchables complete meals due to mislabeling.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the turkey, ham and cheddar cheese ready-to-eat meals are labeled Dijon mustard, however, the package contains herb sauce with a known allergen -- egg yolk.
The FSIS has received no reports of allergic reactions associated with consumption of this product, however, anyone concerned about an allergic reaction should contact a physician.
Recalled are the 5.1 oz. packages of "Oscar Mayer Lunchables Deluxe Turkey, Ham and Cheddar Cheeses, Andes Mint, with Dijon Mustard." Each package bears "09 DEC 2004 EB Est. P-2310" and is stamped with the packaging code "00 44700 02464."
The packages were produced on Sept. 10, 2004, and were sent to retail establishments in California, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Consumers with question should contract the Consumer Response Group at 888-373-7477. Consumers with other food safety questions phone the U.S.D.A. Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854.
