"The seminar for new governors is a wonderful event where we take off our partisan hats, put away the donkeys and elephants, and roll up our sleeves to get down to the business of governing," Warner said.

The governors attend sessions on transition, budgets and working with the news media.

The students are: Govs. Matt Blunt of Missouri; Brian Schweitzer of Montana; John Lynch of New Hampshire; Jon Huntsman, Jr., of Utah and Joe Manchin III of West Virgina.

The faculty includes Warner, Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, Haley Barbour of Mississippi, Mike Johanns of Nebraska, Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania, Mark Sanford of South Carolina, Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, Bob Wise of West Virginia and Jim Doyle of Wisconsin.
