PELLHAM, Ontario, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A farmhouse fire in southern Ontario has killed a mother and her seven children, officials said Tuesday.
Police searching the remains of the residence near Pelham, Ont., northwest of Niagara Falls, have removed six bodies from the house and were searching for two more, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Monika Woerlen, 39, was in the house late Monday, at the time of the fire, with her seven children who ranged in age from 19 months to 11 years.
Foul play is not suspected.
The 41-year-old father was on a trip to Ottawa at the time of the fire.
The family was in the process of moving to a new home in Ottawa.
