Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

LONDON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Britain's defense secretary says he will send the vaunted Black Watch fighters back to Basra from central Iraq in no less than 30 days.
Geoff Hoon said the Black Watch, a noted Scottish regiment, would move south no later than Dec. 2, the Scotsman reported Wednesday.
"The Black Watch achieved full operational capability today and I am confident they will back in their base within 30 days," Hoon told a committee of Parliament.
He repeated that 850 men sent to central Baghdad was simply a part of normal coalition operations, but he also admitted he had asked U.S. officials if they could not find 850 soldiers from among the 135,000 U.S. fighters already in Iraq.
