Lebanon lawyers strike for Iraq

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Lebanese lawyers in the northern city of Tripoli Saturday boycotted court proceedings in solidarity with the Iraqi people.

The Lebanese Bar Association in Tripoli said in a statement that lawyers refrained from attending court sessions in the north in accordance with a decision by the Arab Bar Association to strike "in solidarity with Iraq against the American and Zionist aggression."
