Her husband, Acey Johnson, is a former consular employee at the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka. He was sentenced to 63 months in jail.

The Justice Department said the scheme involved the unlawful issuance of approximately 200 visas from the U.S. Embassies in Sri Lanka, Fiji and Vietnam.

In addition to prison terms, Lee and Johnson were ordered to forfeit $750,000 in cash and property purchased with ill-gotten gains, and were ordered each to pay a fine of $12,500. Each defendant will also be supervised for three years after getting out of prison.

The "visa broker" in the scheme, Ramesh Jaisingh of Fairfax, Va., was sentenced to 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
