Saudi Arabia arrests 2 terror suspects

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Saudi Arabian officials said Sunday they have arrested two terror suspects after an exchange of gunfire east of Riyadh.

An interior ministry statement Sunday said the operation that took place early Saturday was limited and led to the capture of two unidentified people believed members of a faction linked to al-Qaida network.

It said one suspect suffered a hand wound from a bullet fired by police officers and was treated at an area hospital.

Witnesses said they saw two young men, around 20 years old, being handcuffed and loaded into a police car and an ambulance.
