13-year-old faces child pornography rap

LACEY, Wash., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- A 13-year-old boy in Washington State has been charged with posting sexually explicit pictures of himself on the Internet along with other kiddie porn.

The Tacoma News-Tribune said an investigation began when Yahoo reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone has posted 180 pornographic images. Investigators tracked the images to an ISP in Lacey, Wa., and then to the teen's computer, also in Lacey.

The News-Tribune reported that 11 of the children in pictures the boy allegedly posted have been identified. Investigators believe that the boy lifted the photographs from other Web sites.

The boy, who has not been identified because of his age, is being held without bail in a juvenile detention center. Sgt. John Didion of the Washington State Patrol told the newspaper that he is unusually young to be a suspect in a child pornography case, an area where most defendants are older than 25.
