Fifteen of the 30 passengers remain hospitalized.

The bus owned by the Walters Bus Co. Inc. was taking a group of friends and family members from Chicago on a weekend gambling outing to Tunica, Miss. The bus veered off the highway and flipped over as it plowed into the ground shearing off the top of the vehicle.

Federal transportation officials are investigating maintenance records and trying to determine whether the 67-year-old driver fell asleep on the 10-hour trip.
