LEON, Mexico, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Mexican President Vicente Fox Monday announced a new health care policy for Mexican citizens living in the United States.

The announcement of the new plan, which provides a gradual increase in medical benefits, came during the Fourth U.S.-Mexico Binantional Week of Health in the city of Leon in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato.

Fox said the plan will give Mexicans in the United States access to specialized medical services and protect them from the eventual expenses they incur when sick.
