Ebtek brand backpacks recalled

REDMOND, Wash., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Eddie Bauer Inc. of Redmond, Wash., Wednesday recalled about 300 units of Ebtek Brand backpacks with a stool because the stool can collapse.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the stool could collapse and cause the person using the stool to fall. The stool does not meet the firm's strength requirements.

No incidents or injuries have been reported so far, the commission said.

The recalled units, manufactured between February 2004 and March 2004 in Vietnam, were sold at the Eddie Bauer Web site and catalog from April 2004 through June 2004 for about $100.
