British police seek U.S. runaway girl

LONDON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- British police were searching for a runaway teenager from Missouri who used her mother's credit card to fly to London.

Jing Wen Chen, 15, fled her family home in Missouri on Sunday after an argument, the Daily Mirror reported Wednesday.

She apparently flew to Philadelphia, where she caught a plane for Gatwick Airport.

The girl, described as "bright and intelligent," was last seen on Monday when she used the card to withdraw cash at Victoria station.

"She is our only daughter and we are very worried about her," said her father, Genda Chen, an engineering professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla. "I want her to know that I, and her mother, Sharon, love her very much."
