GAZA, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Palestinian militants Thursday abducted a senior security official and took him to an unknown place in Gaza, Palestinian security sources reported.
Sources and eyewitnesses said masked militants driving two jeeps suddenly blocked the car of Mohamed al Batrawi near his home in northern Gaza City and took him to an area near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
The sources identified the kidnappers as members of the Fatah movement.
Earlier Thursday, about 20 Palestinian militants broke into the offices of the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Work in the southern Gaza town of Kahn Younis.
Security sources said the militants demanded work for thousands of Palestinians who lost their jobs due to Israeli border closures.
