LONDON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A study by Britain's supermarket chain Sainsbury's found buying organic food gives customers a sense of well being -- even before eating.
Customers told Sainsbury's in focus groups that buying organic items gave them more control over the food they eat, the BBC reported Saturday.

The organic market, a $1.7 billion industry in Britain, is growing at double the rate for conventional groceries. Traditionally, organic food was bought by "foodies," or health-conscious families with young children, but the market has shifted to young women.
Three out of four babies in Britain are regularly given organic food, the study found.
