Demonstrator tries to disrupt Bush speech

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- President George w. Bush's acceptance speech Thursday was briefly disrupted by a demonstrator protesting U.S. job losses during the president's term.

A woman wearing what appeared to be a pink slip stepped forward in the first tier of seats on the convention floor, near the Virginia delegation, and began shouting at the president. Bush paused briefly as the woman was almost immediately surrounded by convention delegates who began shouting "Four more years," at her before she was removed from the convention floor by RNC security officials.

Bush them resumed his speech as the delegates cheered.
