Canada body-parts murder victim identified

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A plane carrying Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly had to take evasive action earlier this month to avoid colliding with another plane over Connecticut.
The incident involving Air Force II occurred about 7,500 feet over Bridgeport, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The plane -- known as Air Force II when the vice president is aboard -- was en route to White Plains, New York, when an on-board alert system automatically activated, telling the pilot to climb to avoid colliding with the small private aircraft, CBS News reported Saturday.
The Federal Aviation Administration said such an incident ordinarily wouldn't require an investigation, but, since it involved the vice president, a report was written.
