Teen's body recovered from Scottish loch

KINLOCHBERVIE, Scotland, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- The body of a Scottish teenager was recovered Tuesday after a weekend boating accident in Loch Innis.

The BBC reported three teenagers had managed to swim to safety after 18-year-old Dwane Wardrop, from Kinlochbervie, Scotland, was thrown into the water after his dinghy capsized early Saturday morning.

"Our sympathies go out to all Dwane's family and friends and our grateful thanks go to the Grampian Police underwater search unit, the European Underwater Technology Center, the Kinlochbervie auxiliary coast guard unit and the many local people who provided assistance and support throughout a long and technically difficult search," a police spokesman said.

An investigation is under way.
