FBI reveals truck bomb fears

NEW YORK, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- The FBI has revealed indications that terrorists may be planning truck bomb-type attacks within the United States, the New York Times said Tuesday.

"There have been multiple suspicious incidents over the last six months that heighten concern over the potential terrorist acquisition of large trucks and commercial buses," the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security announced in a new alert bulletin titled, "Potential Threat to Homeland Using Heavy Transport Vehicles."

"Such incidents, combined with truck-bomb attacks in Iraq and a disrupted plot involving ammonium nitrate fertilizer in Britain in March, have led to greater concern," the paper said.
