Hamas threatens more rockets on Sderot

GAZA, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Hamas warned residents of the Jewish town of Sderot Tuesday it will hit them with al-Qassam rockets if Israel does not lift a siege on nearby Beit Hanoun.

A masked member of the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, appeared in a videotape broadcast by Dubai-based al-Arabiya satellite television.

"Your occupation army entered Beit Hanoun 40 days ago under the pretext of stopping us from firing al-Qassam rockets ... They have destroyed houses and lands and killed dozens of people, but this did not stop the rockets.

"To the residents of Sderot ... we ask you to stop your army from massacring our people and to pull out from Beit Hanoun, otherwise you will pay the price," the statement said.
