The woman, who reportedly was five weeks pregnant, failed to return from an early-morning jog in City Creek Canyon, her husband, Mark Hacking, told police.

A co-worker said the woman received a phone call that made her cry three days before she disappeared.

The couple were preparing to move to Chapel Hill, where Hackling claimed to have been accepted to the University of North Carolina medical school.

"I could hear her say things such as, 'But he's already been accepted. He's already applied. This can't be correct,' said Darren Openshaw, a Wells Fargo employee who said he overheard the July 16 phone call.

Soon after Hacking reported his wife missing, police learned he had never applied to North Carolina and lied about graduating from the University of Utah.

Mark Hacking remained hospitalized Tuesday, after suffering what relatives called a "breakdown" the evening of June 19.
