Neo-Nazis charged in German bomb plot

KARLSRUHE, Germany, July 6 (UPI) -- Germany's federal attorney's office has charged a 28-year-old alleged Neo-Nazi with attempting to bomb the beginnings of a Jewish cultural center.

Federal Attorney Kay Nehm filed charges Tuesday against Martin Wiese for allegedly heading the Neo-Nazi group "Camaraderie South" and planning an attack with explosives, German newspaper Die Welt reports.

Three other men, ages 22 to 28, were also charged in Karlsruhe, Germany.

All four are charged with being members of a terrorist organization.

Wiese allegedly decided in early May to disrupt the ceremonial beginning of construction on Munich's coming Jewish Cultural Center, a plan the other three allegedly agreed to.

The federal attorney's office said the four men took into consideration the fact that people would likely be killed in the attack.
