GAZA, June 21 (UPI) -- A radical Palestinian group attacked Egypt's security plan for Gaza, threatening to target Egyptian officers to be deployed after Israel's withdrawal.
The military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Brigades of Abu Ali Mustafa, said in a statement carried on an Internet site, "The security plan is aimed at serving Israel's interests and we oppose it utterly."
It charged Egypt's plan, under which Egyptian officers will be training Palestinian security forces to take control of Gaza, "is in fact an Arab support initiative for Israel's unilateral separation plan."
"We have no commitment to the safety of Egyptian officers," the statement said.
