CORVALLIS, Ore., June 11 (UPI) -- The list of potential suspects in the disappearance of a young Oregon woman increased Friday to more than two dozen names.

Police said 26 individuals were classified as "persons of interest" in the May 24 apparent abduction of 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger from an apartment complex near Oregon State University in Corvallis. Of the 26 names, four of them are "of significant interest in the investigation."

KTVX-TV, Salt Lake City, said Friday police were looking into the possibile involvement of a Washington state parolee in the case.

Authorities said Richard Wilson had a history of violent assaults and had allegedly been committing various crimes all over the Pacific Northwest. Wilson killed himself Wednesday night after allegedly shooting and wounding two store clerks in a pair of stick-ups near Grantville, Wash.

Meanwhile, a concert benefiting the volunteer group searching for Brooke was scheduled for Saturday night in Corvallis.
