Police quiz alleged cannibal in assault

LONDON, April 28 (UPI) -- London police Wednesday interrogated an alleged cannibal over an attack on an admitted murderer, the Sun reported.

Cops questioned Peter Bryan, 34 -- already awaiting trial for killing a man -- about an assault on Richard Loudwell, 59, who has admitted murdering an elderly woman in her home.

Police, who talked with Bryan about the Loudwell attack, have some experience with Bryan. Four years ago he was released from a secure hospital after being incarcerated for seven years for murdering someone with a hammer.

Then in February of this year, Bryan was found inside the London apartment of a man who had just been dismembered. When police arrived, they found Bryan frying the victim's brain in a pan.

At the time of Loudwell's attack, Bryan was awaiting trial for the February murder and dismemberment.

Loudwell, meanwhile, was recovering in a hospital from his wounds, suffered late Monday or early Tuesday.
