MOSCOW, April 26 (UPI) -- Russia's giant Gazprom Corp. is planning to double its gas exports to Europe during the next 30 years, RosBusinessConsulting reported Monday.
"If required, Gazprom has enough resources to double its supplies," Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller told a news conference, according to the news agency report.
Gazprom is already a huge energy supplier to the European Union, delivering about 140n billion cubic meters of gas to its member nations each year.
Now the energy giant is planning a new strategy to diversify the end products it sells, Miller said, according to the report. Gazprom is planning to produce liquid natural gas, compressed natural gas and liquid synthetic hydrocarbons produced from gas among its future products, he said.
