MIAMI, April 15 (UPI) -- Miami-area officials Thursday lifted a lockdown at a middle school after about two hours when no trace of the gunman who prompted the order was found.
The Miami Herald reported all students were safe, no one was injured and there were no arrests.

The suspected intruder was spotted as he entered Centennial Middle School. A room-to-room search was conducted and completed shortly after noon.
"We have not found anyone. Everyone is safe and everyone is being checked," said spokesman Mayco Villafana, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Public Schools.
The 1,100 students at the school were herded from their classrooms to the cafeteria, auditorium and library as hundreds of parents gathered outside the school.
