Missing newborn found in alley, alive

BOWLING GREEN, Ky., April 2 (UPI) -- The search for a day-old baby girl who was abducted from a Kentucky hospital Friday morning has ended with the discovery of the child -- alive.

Bowling Green police say an infant girl, Grayci Barrows, was found at 8:55 a.m. in an alley behind a consignment shop.

The child is in stable condition at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

The woman named in an Amber Alert Friday, after the baby was taken from Fort Logan Hospital, has been questioned by police and the FBI at the Franklin, Ky., police station.

The woman is a part-time employee of Fort Logan Hospital.

No charges were immediately filed.
